An age-old station
The railway line from 1887 between Hoorn and Medemblik is unique in it’s completeness. Many things from the building of the old station and bridges are preserved. This also applies for the station in Medemblik. The platforms and the station environment have been completely restored to how they looked and functioned in the past. The station, located near a jetty is always open for a visit between the departure and arrival times of the Museum Steam Train.
Step back in time and take a look in the waiting room, the station master’s office and the warehouse of freight transport.
The railway is part of the “historical Triangle” Enkhuizen-Medemblik-Hoorn
